Greifer
Greifer werden als Lastaufnahmemittel für Schüttgut eingesetzt. Ein Greifer hat zwei zumeist aus Stahl geschweißten Halbschalen, die einseitig und drehbar an einem Gelenk gelagert sind. In geschlossenem Zustand bilden sie den Transportbehälter. Die Schneiden des Greifers bestehen zumeist aus hochfesten Stählen. In Spezialfällen werden sie mit Reißzähnen aus Manganstahl ausgerüstet. Die Gelenke liegen in Gleitlagern, die dazugehörigen Seillager meist in Wälzlagern.
Zwei unabhängige Triebwerke bewegen die Schließ- und Halteseile des Greifers. Beim Füllen des Greifers wird das SchließSeil gezogen. Der geöffnete Greifer hängt lediglich am Halteseil. Zum Anheben einer Last werden Schließ- und Halteseil gleichmäßig belastet.
Greifer gibt es in mehreren Ausführungen, darunter auch Scherengreifer und Mehrschalengreifer. Greifer können beispielsweise in eine Katze eingehängt werden.
