Wulstkupplung
Wulstkupplungen gehören wie auch die Scheibenkupplungen zu den elastischen, nicht schaltbaren Kupplungen. Elastische Elemente in Wulst- oder Reifenform sorgen bei den Wulstkupplungen für die Dämpfung von Drehmomentstößen. Bei elastischen Scheibenkupplungen dienen flache Elastomerringe als federndes Element.
Wulstkupplungen haben einen zweiteiligen Gummikörper, der auf zwei Ringhälften aufvulkanisiert ist. Sie begrenzen den äußeren Umfang der Kupplung und sind auf der Nabe miteinander verschraubt. Wulstkupplungen zeichnen sich durch ihre Montagefreundlichkeit aus.
Im Zentrum der Scheibenkupplungen ist eine Nabe eingelassen, auf die ein je nach Anwendung gewähltes Elastomer ringförmig aufvulkanisiert ist. Konzentrisch um den elastischen Ring ist ein Metallring angeordnet, über den das Drehmoment übertragen wird. Scheibenkupplungen sind nicht drehsteif. Two-part flexible coupling
