Toyota-Produktionssystem

TP-Systeme verfolgen folgende Konzepte:

  • Eliminierung von Verschwendung (Muda) etwa per Visualisierung durch Andon-Tafeln
  • Produktion auf Kundennachfrage
  • Prozessstandardisierung und -synchronisierung (etwa One-Piece-Flow)
  • Fehlervermeidung (Poka Yoke)
  • Kontinuierliche Anlagenverbesserung (Total Productive Maintenance, SMED)
  • Verbesserung der Arbeitsorganisation (5-S)
  • Just-in-Time (JIT, JIS)
  • Pull-Steuerung durch Kanban
  • Geringe Lagerhaltung und geringer Materialbestand im System
  • Qualifizierung der Mitarbeiter

TPS-Grundsätze werden von Lean Management-Konzepten übernommen.

Toyota Production System

Toyota launched the Toyota Production System (TPS) at the start of the 20th century in an effort to avoid waste. It all started when Toyoda Sakichi invented a loom with an automatic stop mechanism (Jidoka) in 1902. Later on, his son, Toyoda Kiichiro, laid the foundations for Just-in-time production as the head of the Toyota Motor Company. Due in part to the scarcity of raw materials and competition with other automobile manufacturers, the TPS was continuously developed as a framework concept.

TP systems pursue the following concepts:

  • Eliminating waste (Muda), e.g. by visualising it with Andon boards
  • Manufacturing products according to customer demand
  • Standardising and synchronising processes (e.g. one-piece-flow)
  • Avoiding errors (Poka-Yoke)
  • Continuously improving plant and machinery (total productive maintenance, SMED)
  • Improving workplace organisation (5S)
  • Implementing just-in-time principles (JIT, JIS)
  • Implementing the Pull principle via Kanban
  • Lowering stockkeeping levels and Material stocks in the system
  • Ensuring personnel are appropriately qualified

The TPS principles are incorporated into Lean management concepts.

(JIT,JIS)

Evitar errores (Poka-Yoke)
