They are used either as end products or as semi-finished products for further processing (e.g. lamination).

Casting is a forming process used to produce primary and intermediate products (semi-finished products) that can be further processed through forming.

During forging, suitable semi-finished products are brought to forging temperature and then shaped in three stages: mass distribution, pre-shaping of the cross-section and compression moulding.
