In floor conveyors, mechanical lifting gear or masts are used to move loads.

During loading operations, the mast (lifting gear) is immediately adjacent to the vehicle side wall.

Lifting gear on the vehicle frame means that loads can be lifted higher than with low-lift pallet trucks.
