Mit einem Anschlagseil wird eine Verbindung zwischen Tragmittel und Last oder Tragmittel und Lastaufnahmemittel geschaffen.

Anschlagseile sind zumeist Stahllitzenseile. Sie besitzen an beiden Enden Schlaufen, in die entweder Haken oder Schäkel eingeklinkt werden können oder Aufhängeglieder befestigt sind. Ein Anschlagseil kann verzinkt oder blank ausgeführt sein. Es zeichnet sich durch seine gute Verformbarkeit aus und sollte sich für allgemeine Einsätze eignen. Anschlagseile gibt es je nach Einsatzzweck mit oder ohne Stahlseileinlage und mit verschiedenen Tragfähigkeiten.

Neben Drahtseilen kommen auch Faserseile aus Pflanzen oder Chemiefasern zur Anwendung.
