Anthropometric dimensions used in workplace Design include: Dimensions of the human body such as standing height, arm reach, inside leg measurement, sitting height and shoulder height Posture Length of limbs and range of Joint movement for optimised reach Field of vision and Visual field which specify optical axes that can be used to organise how personnel view elements of the workplace and support relaxed working practices Information from anthropometric data sets that have been compiled for different groups of people are used as guidelines and reference Material for the production of ergonomic equipment and machines. The data sets contain standardised values that may need to be adjusted in specific cases.
