Geradstirnrad (Neutro)

English

spur gear (Neutro)

Description: A spur gear is also called a cylindrical gear. It is the most frequently used type of gear. A spur Gear features evenly spaced teeth around its full circumference, which are referred to collectively as the toothing. The gearing of spur gears can be straight and axially parallel, helical (screw shaped) or double-helical. The tooth profile is usually an involute. Spur gears are assembled to form a spur gear train, with the spur gears integrated in an axially parallel arrangement. The simplest type consists of a pair of gears that are each mounted on a Shaft. A multi-level gear train can be made by adding additional gears and intermediate shafts.
