shuttle (n)

A shuttle equipped with a load-handling attachment (usually a telescopic fork) moves along the mast.

Depending on the type of storage and goods, the process of putting goods into storage can be manual, semi-automatic (e.g. with shuttles or forklifts) or fully automatic using conveying systems.
