Highly fire-resistant ceramics are used to produce single-use (expendable) moulds.

Lapping is used for extremely hard surfaces (steel, ceramics) and workpieces with low dimensional tolerances (injection nozzles, glassware).

Sintering is a process from powder metallurgy used to produce powder from metals, ceramics, metal compounds and alloys.

Keramik (f)

Aus hochfeuerfester Keramik werden einmal nutzbare (verlorene) Formen hergestellt.

Verwendet werden etwa Werkzeugstähle, Hartmetalle, Schneidkeramik, Sinterwerkstoffe, Korund oder Diamant.

Nach dem Härten wird das Modell entnommen und die Keramikform nach dem Shawverfahren gebrannt oder abgeflämmt.
