- Other extrusion processes include hydrafilm and hydrostatic extrusion.
- This is applied during the subsequent extrusion process using a mobile heating nozzle.
- The profile is manufactured using an extrusion process similar to that used to produce aluminium profiles.
extrusion
Description:
Extrusion is a Forming process in which a Material is forced through a forming die having first been converted to a fluid state under high pressure, sometimes after heating. Although cold extrusion maximises dimensional accuracy, hot extrusion has the advantage of enabling very large degrees of deformation to be achieved. Subsequent Machining is required in the event of Scale formation. Unlike bar extrusion, Standard extrusion can be used to make complex, finished workpieces as well as semi-finished products. A distinction is made between the following extrusion methods: Forward extrusion, where the material moves in the direction in which the machine is operating Backward extrusion, where the material moves in the opposite direction to the one in which the machine is operating Lateral extrusion, where the material moves perpendicular to the direction in which the machine is operating
