Electroplating (中性)

Description: Electroplating is a popular Coating method. Electrolysis is used to cover Metals with a layer of a different metal to improve their Resistance or appearance. The coating metals are made to accumulate on the workpieces by connecting them as a cathode (negative terminal). The more noble coating Material constitutes the anode (positive terminal). The electric current separates metal ions from the anode, which are then located in a salt solution. The ions subsequently discharge on the cathode, where they are deposited as metal atoms. Examples of the electroplating baths used include Copper sulphate baths for copper plating and chromium (VI) anhydride solutions combined with sulphuric acid for chrome plating. Electroplating can enhance the workpiece's Corrosion and Wear resistance, improve its electrical Conductivity and reduce friction. Possible types of electroplating include galvanising, chrome plating, Nickel plating and coating with platinum.
