OCR-Schrift (f)

OCR-Schriften haben eine ähnliche Zeichencodierung wie Barcodes, sind aber im Gegensatz zu diesen Klarschriften, die auch für Menschen lesbar sind.

Häufig eingesetzt werden optische Systeme, zu denen Barcodes (Strichcode) oder OCR-Schrift (optical character recognition) mit den entsprechenden Kennzeichnungen sowie einem Lesegerät gehören.

OCR-Schrift (Optical Character Recognition-Schrift) ist eine Anzahl von spezifisch definierten Buchstaben und Zahlen, die mit Hilfe optischer Zeichenerkennungsmitteln von Maschinen automatisch gelesen werden.

OCR font (n)

OCR fonts have similar character coding to barcodes, but, unlike these, they comprise plain text that can also be read by people.

Optical systems are widespread and comprise barcodes or OCR font (optical character recognition) along with the corresponding labels and a reader.

Within the material flow system, a transport unit can be identified manually or automatically by means of e.g. Kanban cards, OCR fonts (optical character recognition), barcodes or RFID (radio-frequency identification).
